House WishlistA list of what I wanna do to the house, in no particular order:
Top Story
Get B's office going.
Put up curtains over the front windows.
Replace fan in spare bedroom.
Put in thermal curtains for spare rooms.
First Floor
Renovate the entire kitchen.. new cabinet faces, countertops, appliances, etc. Black appliances, dark-ish wood stain (like cherry or mahogany), maybe a dark green-ish countertop.
Paint. At least the formal dining room & parlor/library
Put up a fan in the living room.
Change out the light over the 'breakfast nook'.
Change out the entry chandelier.
Change out the dining room chandelier.
Put up heat shield film over the odd shaped living room windows. half done
Curtains or something for the odd shaped living room windows.
Clean up the garage enough to park both cars, and have a work area for me to play. mostly done
Koi pond/waterfall somewhere?
Something for the huge wall in the living room.
Undercabinet lighting for the kitchen
Accent lighting for the various things in the living room.
Oriental mural for above the fireplace.
Basement
Setup the server room. Get the various machines at least all in there, and then work on getting them to a running point. They're all in there, and COULD run, if there were ventilation and networking
Paint the theater room a dark-ish color. Probably a dark blue.
Create the home theater setup... projector, screen, surround sound, etc.
Pull out the Radio Shack coax cable and pull decent RG6 cable and Cat 5 to all the rooms and leave in a central location.
Change out the icky IR remotes for the lights with something better.
After we get the wiring like we like it, put in sound insulation.
Outside
Work on terracing the hill on the side of the house.
Different outdoor lighting
Fertilize the yard
