Every year I hope that teenagers have matured, and every year I am proved that I'm wrong. Aside from, what I thought was a common rule, the light being off, people still began knocking at 6:30, while we were eating. The dog's barking eventually made them give up. We even put candy in a bowl outside, so that they'd leave us alone. So, as I go back to retrieve the bowl, I'm thinking that I'll find it shattered. No, I just don't find it at all. Someone took all the candy, and decided the bowl was nice too.

Some days I prefer to believe that I'm just as normal as anyone else. Then someone proves that they are absolute trash by ruining something for everyone else. Some might say that I've become a grumpy old man. I just think that kids these days don't have a clue what manners are. And it really makes me NOT want to raise my child anywhere near here.

So, for 'dessert' last night, B picked up some chocolate cupcakes from the grocery store. We asked Fiona what else she wants to eat.

"ummm.. PANCAKE!"
"We don't have any pancakes.. do you mean cupcake?"
"Yeah! TUPCAKE!"

Turns out she has a little issue with 'c' if it begins a word. Quite cute, regardless. :)

So, after a dinner of roast chicken last night, I'm cleaning up the table. While the wife's taking care of the little one, I ask if I can take her plate. However, what I actually said what "Can I dump your bones?"

She replied with a bemused: "Sure!"

It took me a second to get it.

Can't quite complain. At all.

Linux loving men are sexier.

Yeah.

After finally proving to Hubersan that yes, he did have enough banked vacation time that if he got sick, he wouldn't go into negative numbers....
